Ellinikon in Schwerte

Due to the current situation, we have ordered our meals to be delivered. Very fast delivery and very tasty food!

Very, very tasty and a nice evening, unfortunately now it's a break. But we will also pick something up there., We keep our fingers crossed that Ellinikon will continue successfully after Lockdown2!

It was our first time in this restaurant and we received a very warm welcome. All employees were very attentive and warm. The food was served quickly and was consistently delicious! We would love to come back!

Was there 3 times now and I have to say that the service staff is great and the food is great. I also like Ambiente very much. Price performance is right so that I like to tip.

Food was very hit and miss. The vegetarian appetizers were quite good, yet the steak was worse than anything a half decent home cook would have made. I wasn't asked what level of doneness I wanted, nor what condiments I would like (the menu stated that there was a choice of sauce or herb butter, but the waiter skipped that part). I eventually got a medium-ish steak that had clearly been grilled unevenly at a high temperature - there was a lot of grey on the edges (on one side more than the other) and not much of a gradient towards pink. Otherwise the service was decent enough but the Covid precautions were superficial and not followed too closely.

The food was great! Greatly seasoned and not just overly full plates, but great quality 😃

Normally I never rate my restaurant visit, no matter if good or bad, but after my experience at Ellinikon in Schwerte, I think that this restaurant deserves a rating because I was never allowed to have such an experience in my life. Actually, I thought I had seen everything in restaurants, fantastic food, bad food and also wrong food. However, I have never had the experience that I or we do not receive any food at all, even though it has been ordered. I had made a reservation for four people on August 15, 2020 for 7 p.m., including a teenager. After we were shown to the table, the order was placed by us, it was at 7:20 pm. The menu was very clear and some starters and main courses were ordered. After less than five minutes our drinks arrived and we were looking forward to our starters. The restaurant was well attended, but not every table was occupied or that people had to wait outside. After a good hour passed and other tables of your dishes were given, my nephew asked me where our starters or dishes were. Since I saw that many tables were served, I assumed it would be our turn soon and did not point out our pending order. At 8:45 p.m., I went to the lady who took our order, because I wanted to avoid looking up, I went to the counter and spoke to you with the following words: “Perhaps you made a mistake, but we haven't received a dish for almost 90 minutes, neither a starter nor a main course. It is slowly getting too late for my guests when you consider that some time passes between the starter and main course. The lady looked at me puzzled and told me she would clarify this with the kitchen and contact me and I can sit down at the table again. After more than half an hour had passed again, I asked my family that we should go because more than 2 hours had passed and we didn't even get a salad or other food. I went back to the lady and told her that something could always go wrong, but after my advice that we had been forgotten and she wanted to clarify this and let me stand for another half an hour without giving an answer, is unacceptable . I wanted to pay for our drinks and asked for the bill. The lady didn't really notice me at all and during this time issued a voucher of 50 € for me and gave it to me and apologized to me and would be happy to see us again soon. Found this approach more than misplaced, as if I would give this restaurant or its staff another chance after being ignored for 2 hours. The staff is incompetent and completely out of place, that should simply not exist in the service sector, because if they were a little attentive, they would have noticed that a table had nothing to eat on the table for several hours. In my opinion, a good restaurant is characterized above all by the fact that you don't have the feeling of being out of place there! My family and I made us feel very uncomfortable and not welcome at your place!

Nice outside area to sit. Big and lots of space inside. Food was good and plentiful so good portions. Service polite and nice. Price-performance ratio is right. Parking spaces in front of the house.

Here for the first time today! Great food! Top quality and quantity! Large crowd of 6:00 p.m. - 19.30, which speaks for the restaurant! We'll be back, guaranteed!

Wonderful. I am always excited. The sea bream was a dream. The waitress read our every wish from our eyes. We always like to come back.

Really delicious food at humane prices. Service is friendly. When the restaurant is well attended, it is also pleasant in terms of time. I can recommend it ☺️

Great restaurant! Very nice atmosphere. Very good value for money. We are more often in the Ellinikon and feel welcome every time. The owner is very friendly and the ouzo on the house is not missing either. We are very satisfied with the service and the food. The quality of the dishes is TOP every time. Appetizers very tasty. Meat tender and fish to the point. Clear recommendation! We will be back!

Excellent Greek cuisine... Food was delicious & quite generous... Service was excellent from the waiters...wide variety to choose from... I had the lamb shank which was done quite well...the seating is very open as in a normal restaurant hence not a fine dining place but great for family's etc...

One of the best restaurants I have visited recently. Very friendly and attentive service, great value for money, great food and top taste

We were welcomed very friendly and personally. The atmosphere was very good. The food was just great. Many different meats, and all in a nutshell, super tender. The "boss" and his staff keep an eye on the guests and really care about their guests the whole time. We were very pleasantly surprised by the whole evening, we will be back. After we were there for the third time New Year's Eve, we are pretty disappointed. Service still friendly. Unfortunately, the card shrunk together. Everything I liked so much was removed from the map. Appetizer and main course came at the same time, then still wrong. I fell for the potato sticks too. The friendly waiter still saves many situations by his super nice way, because the boss should thank you. We will probably not come back again because of the extremely shrunken map.

We had a pleasant experience with greek cuisine, for the first time in life. Nice, unusual selection of main courses. We expected to find a standard "gyros and french fries" but eventually it was a positive surprise. Staff was very friendly, food well prepared so that's an absolute 5 stars from me and my husband. Its absolutely wonderful! Stuff is extremaly kind and food so delicious that every time I take something new and I'm totally in love with every dish. Today I took dorada fish and i really recommend it,even for kids- my 4years old dother ate half of it and said that it's delicious. Risotto and salad (salad!!!) too! Design is modern so I could feel like in the big city with its glory. Enjoy Your meal!

Very nice and pleasant restaurant. Atmosphere and location are highly recommended, the staff throughout friendly and polite. The food was really delicious, top portions and a bit upscale, but justified the store accordingly. We will gladly come back - widen so 👌🏻

I can only recommend the shop. It tastes great and I get full. The dishes are very fresh and never put 0/8/15 on the plate. Very high level with reasonable prices. Meat, fish, seafood - all very enjoyable. I like to come back again and again.
